Event Description:
Join us for a discussion of the growth of mental health care services in Hong Kong. While the unpredictability of recent months has placed strain on many, there are new, confidential, and accessible resources available locally to discuss and address personal challenges - be it for yourself, a family member, a friend, or a colleague.Jessica Yeung, the founder of Common Care, will share the founding and work of Common Care, the challenges related to addressing and normalizing mental health care in Hong Kong, how therapy works via telemedicine, and how addressing mental health needs can benefit overall well being and physical health.
Common Care is an online mental health + therapy platform that connects qualified, experienced, and trained professionals for affordable online therapy through video or phone-based sessions. Their mission is to increase access to mental health care and normalize mental health. After experiencing challenges accessing mental health care herself, Jessica founded Common Care in 2019 to provide a new channel for individuals to access support in an easy and safe way.
The event will be held at WLab - a brand new innovation hub in Quarry Bay focused on creating a sustainable future for a healthier and happier Hong Kong. Kindly note that in addition to registering via Harvard Club of HK's event page, as our venue sponsor, WLab has asked that all visitors to their space also register with them when you arrive. (The WLab registration includes collection of name, company name, position, date of visit, and contact info.)
We look forward to seeing you at this event to discuss how mental health care can help improve the health of our community.
