Join us for our live virtual event for a conversation with R. Paul Herman FSA, who founded and as CEO runs HIP Investor Ratings and Portfolios. Paul will share thematic highlights from his latest book, the Global Handbook of Impact Investing (Wiley 2021). Themes to be discussed include climate finance, gender lens, diversity and inclusion investing, portfolio management, and impact measurement, management and verification.

We will also hear from a few special guest respondents who will share their feedback on Paul’s presentation. The session will be moderated by HBSAHK Officer Philo Alto (HBS MBA/MPA 2000).

The conversation will tackle topics including:

  • Key global impact investing trends, with a focus on climate finance, gender and diversity-lens investing
  • Successful cross-sector collaborative approaches that have scaled enduring impacts

Paul Herman, FSA, is a globally recognized leader and author in sustainable finance, impact, ESG, and SDG measurement -- including gender and diversity metrics -- and investing to pursue positive impact and profit.  HIP (Human Impact + Profit) Investor produces and licenses 130,000 impact investment ratings of 10,000 global equities, 119,000 muni bonds, and 1,000 mutual funds and ETFs, including for 401(k) plans, from 8 million data points annually.
